Project Type: Transporting people to hospital appointments

Patients call our specific telephone number to request transportation to the hospital for an appointment. We then put out an email to our qualified drivers for a volunteer. The local garage provides a safe and insured car whenever we need it. Donations provide for the fuel and telephone expenses.

Our Story

Because we are about 60 miles from the hospital, getting there and back can be very difficult. the ambulance service is very erratic and may also collect patients from other areas meaning a very long day. I approached a local garage about the possibility of using cars he has available and he did not hesitate to agree so then we got the ball rolling and have not had to say no to anyone needing transport!
