The Good Companions
Project Type: Older people
It is a group that meets on Wednesday afternoons for afternoon tea, conversation and social activities. Around 20-30 elderly women, some of whom have early stage dementia or other health issues, benefit from meeting regularly. The group coordinator is Mrs Wilma Craig. Fife Elderly Forum has recommended our group to their clients and carers bring clients along.
Our Story
When Age Concern was no longer able to continue to provide the Wednesday lunch club in St Margaret’s Church a few years ago, a number of people still wanted to meet on Wednesdays. The good Companions was formed and it is a group that is open and welcoming to new members.
