This scheme seeks to support activities that provide creative and active opportunities for care experienced young people in Scotland. The Creative and Active Lives Initiative is open to the following applicants:
· Not-for-profit voluntary or community groups (including Registered Charities, Social enterprises and Companies)
· Schools, colleges and universities
· Residential houses
· Statutory bodies
They believe the best projects have young people at their heart, and the Trust is keen to work with organisations that create opportunities for young people to design and lead programmes wherever possible. Therefore projects must focus on care experienced young people who have experience of any of the following:
· supervision order/looked after at home
· foster care
· residential care
· secure care
· looked after through Kinship care
To benefit from Trust support, young people should have at least three months experience of one of the above and be aged between 14 and 26 years old.
Although projects must focus on care experienced young people, we welcome proposals which give them opportunities to join activities within a mixed group.
The trust are interested in hearing from applicants who want to build on existing work and those who have new, innovative ideas.
For further information, please download the Guidance Notes from their website. Applications are online but if you would prefer a Word version of the application form, please contact them at email@example.com
